As we enter a milestone year for The Biomechanics Initiative and National Biomechanics Day (NBD), we want to express my deepest gratitude for your continued partnership and support. Together, we’ve built something extraordinary—a global movement that has introduced biomechanics to more than 58,000 high school students through hundreds of engaging events.
Your commitment has helped make NBD the world’s most successful biomechanics outreach program. In 2025 alone, biomechanists brought biomechanics to life for over 13,000 participants, making it our biggest celebration yet! This momentum has set the stage for an unforgettable year ahead—the 10th anniversary of National Biomechanics Day in 2026.

We’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal of $25,000 for 2026 to support this next wave of outreach and innovation. Your contribution helps us:
- Empower underrepresented biomechanists through dedicated outreach grants.
- Expand our grant program globally to support NBD events in regions that have not yet had the opportunity to participate.
- Develop biomechanics kits and outreach event ideas for teachers and organizers.
- Create ready-to-use outreach resources, including templates for social media and presentations.
- Launch the first-ever NBD Magazine to share stories, research, and innovations from across the community.
- Establish free Biomechanics Initiative membership and a global virtual community platform to connect and equip biomechanists worldwide.
